Holland Village MRT Opening

Filed under 13. MRT Opening Celebrations

Saturday 8th October 2011 (Afternoon)

Our brand new Holland Village MRT station opens today – 8th Oct.

Okay, now here for the report:

Morning was somewhat quiet but the traffic has been picking up since about 12 noon as lunch approaches. Below are two videos and some shots of the traffic taken today.

Picture taken around 1.30 pm today – 8th Oct. You can see the new MRT in the background.

Looks pretty much like any ordinary Saturday here except that there is just a bit more people (but we can guarantee you that Sat evening is always jam-packed with all sorts of revellers. It’s fun, so come down!).

By the way, do tell your friends about www.holland-village-singapore.com and feel free to browse around. Take a look at the Shop Directories. Every single establishment in Holland Village can be found in there.

Locals mingled with foreigners

And if you have something to sell to the expat community here like, if you can walk a dog (or a cat) or if you want to teach someone to fly a Singapore kite, we would love you to post in our Classifieds (this service is currently suspended).

Saturday 8th October 2011 (Evening)

Around 7pm. You can see that the size of this crowd is slightly bigger than the usual Sat evening’s.

And this is what happened at around 8pm:

Finally, something worth waiting for!
